Travis Credit Union, serving 12 counties in the eastern region of the San Francisco Bay Area and Central Valley, elected Deborah Aspling to oversee the financial cooperative as chair of the board of directors, effective from the annual meeting of shareholders in April 2021.
First elected to the Board of Directors in 2008, Aspling now marks her thirteenth year in her leadership role on the Board of Directors. She replaces Patricia Moreno, who was President for seven years and who has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2004.
Alongside Aspling, newly elected Vice President Kevin Burke has a long history of improving the organization’s financial performance.
Doug Beaumont becomes treasurer. Beaumont has been a member of the board of directors of Travis Credit Union for four years and served on the supervisory committee from 2013 to 2017.
Council Secretary Mary Coburn was also re-elected for a second term. She was appointed to the Supervisory Board in 1995 and was its Chairman until her election to the Board of Directors in 2007.
The supervisory committee remains unchanged: Tim Truesdale (chairman), Johanna Benker (member) and Kari Mulholland (member).
