Championship play-off runners-up Huddersfield edge Swansea in pursuit of McAtee.

The Terriers boss could meet for a chat after the Young Lions’ Euro qualifier against Slovenia tomorrow.

McAtee is an academy product of Manchester City and has played a total of six times for the senior side in the past season.

The midfielder has also scored an impressive 17 goals in 22 Premier League 2 games for the U23 side.

Elsewhere, City could also loan goalkeeper James Trafford, 19, to Bolton for a second spell.

Trafford played 33 times while on loan at the League One side last season.

Meanwhile at Huddersfield, SunSport exclusively revealed yesterday that the Terriers are close to signing Halifax Town defender Jesse Debrah, before sending the 22-year-old out on loan next season.

And Town are also in advanced talks over a deal for another non-League star – Solihull Moors striker Kyle Hudlin.

The 6ft 9in striker – who is the tallest outfield player in the UK – is set to move to John Smith.

Hudlin is set to skip three divisions to join the club, having scored in the Moors’ National League play-off final loss to Grimsby last week.
