Letter to the Editor: Our Country Will Never Pay Off Our $ 28.43 Trillion Debt

This letter refers to the letter from Wallie Jones of September 23, 2021. Hope you are reading it.

He speaks of “liberating all that is given to people who have not earned it by working for it”. Some people think they earned it by having lots of babies. Some people think they deserve it because they don’t want to work. I can find a lot of other reasons, but then I would hurt some people’s feelings. Oh yes, lawyers can make some people rich because of their own folly and actions.

Unless things change drastically, “the hard-working people who are a declining breed” won’t be enough to take care of those who “complain” because they don’t get enough free stuff. I predict that everything will come to a head and happen in the next three and a half years.

We are so close to not even being able to pay off the principal of our national debt. (Principal only means payments – it’s a way to potentially shorten the term of a loan and save on interest.) According to www.nytimes.com two days ago (September 28, 2021), our debt national level now stands at $ 28.43 trillion. . Live tracking from the Peter G. Peterson Foundation provided this information.

I did my best to find out how long it would take to pay off this debt if we never borrowed money again (HA HA). Maybe someone can figure it out. Of course, anyone with a brain knows that is not going to happen in America today. With everyone flooding our borders, with all the free gifts, with the government paying people not to work, must I continue, where does that leave our country? We will never pay off this debt.

What happens when China calls for the loan? (A demand loan is a loan that the lender can demand repayment at any time.) How are we going to pay them off? Goodbye United States. This will be the end of all free stuff. We will become their slaves. Can i say that?

Now I know half the country doesn’t, so it’s going to be interesting to see what happens. I’m almost 77, so I hope I get all of my “free stuff” before I die. Good luck, America. I hope half of our country is still happy with the way things are going and who they voted for.
