OSWEGO – The 56th annual meeting of the Compass Federal Credit Union was held on Wednesday, May 4, inside the lodge at the Fallbrook Recreation Center, with three elected board members.
Incumbents Andrew Bucher and Mike Ferlito were each re-elected for another three-year term, while Angela Galvin was elected to her first term.
The 56th Annual Meeting was opened by Board Chairman Mike Pisa at 7:00 p.m. Board Vice Chairman Darcy Antonucci took care of the vote before the meeting opened.
Joyce Pritchard presented the minutes from last year’s meeting, with Don Piazza reviewing the Treasurer’s report and Gary Brown providing the oversight report.
Brown was pleased to report that the credit union is run effectively and efficiently and continues to grow each year.
Mike Pisa and Compass FCU Manager, Jennifer Rupert, then addressed the status of the credit union to all members present for the meeting before taking questions from members.
Pisa and Rupert each reflected on the fantastic work done by Compass staff to continue to provide superior customer service and new programs to members.
“I wouldn’t be able to do my job without the great work done by our Board of Directors and staff,” said Rupert. “Working with them and continuing to build meaningful relationships with our growing members is a pleasure.”
At the end of their remarks, Pisa presented former board member Lisa Vinciguerra with a bouquet of flowers in appreciation for her dedicated years on the Compass board.
Members present at the meeting could win one of three VISA gift cards offered by the credit union. Bob Close claimed the grand prize of $100 and was then able to select a cause of his choice for Compass to then donate an additional $200. Close selected Oswego Animal Shelter for this year’s donation.
Other VISA gift card winners include Darrell Pritchard and Jackie Slough, each winning $50.
Following the meeting, Antonucci announced the three elected board members, including Bucher, Ferlito and Galvin.
New board member Galvin also serves as administrative assistant. serving as Vice President of Administration and Finance for SUNY Oswego, while volunteering in several other capacities, including the Hall Newman Center Foundation Board of Directors.
