The credit union is built on 1.75 acres north of Forthun Road, on land between Costco and Highway 371, just north of the CentraCare-Baxter Specialty Clinic.

Plans before the Town of Baxter called for building land for a new 3,271 square foot credit union building with its main entrance and parking lot to the south. Access will be from the east using the shared driveway of the Costco property. The site is right next to Costco across the service road. The credit union’s plans included a detached training station on the east side of the development.

Initial work on the project has started with the promise of favorable weather conditions in the current extended forecast.

Wings Financial acquired Brainerd Savings & Loan, with its branch in Brainerd, making the announcement in January with a closing scheduled for May. Wings is also known for its partnership with Carvana when the auto retailer moved to Minnesota. Carvana works with customers to buy online with virtual car tours and a seven-day return policy to replace the test drive. Customers can also sell and trade in their vehicles through Carvana.

Grand View Lodge in Nisswa appointed William Coyle as executive chef, making the announcement as summer entered the fall season. The resort has indicated that Coyle will lead culinary operations with the seven restaurants and banquet operations.
