After 85 years in business, Aspire Credit Union celebrated by giving back.
The Minot Company recently gave back to the community with 85 random acts of kindness throughout February, according to a press release.
From handing out local gift cards to delivering packets of freshly baked cookies to homes and offices to hosting a community movie night, Aspire employees said they wanted to show kindness with their time.
The company has carried out the following acts:
20 gift cards distributed
10 packets of cookies delivered
11 volunteers at Backpack Buddies
8 Meals on Wheels volunteers
8 volunteer staff school visits with Junior Achievement
6 volunteers at the Souris Valley Animal Shelter
4 staff members wrote pen pal letters to children in the area
3 parish nurseries
2 monetary donations to local associations
1 community movie night for 230 people
1 20.5 hours volunteering at wrestling tournaments
1 staff member donated a pair of shoes to someone in need
1 ice cream for a child at the Dairy Queen
1 provide additional assistance to someone in need after the death of a loved one
1 pantry waste cleaning
1 tea and shake purchased for a member of the community
1 four hours of volunteer work teaching at a parochial school
1 six hours of helping Minot Scouts with their chilli food
1 Commitment of $10,000 for the future Magic City Discovery Center
1 member birthday surprise
1 post-operative accompaniment of a member
1 first aid kit sent to a deployed member
